It Happened in July

DADVICE, DADVICE, DADVICE - We went weekly! The comic got featured on Today’s Hot again! We hit over 2600 subscribers, which is officially more than people living in the town where I went to middle school. I’m so proud of this comic.

DADVICE, VIVA FOREVER - I had hoped on building more of a buffer than I actually (none) during July, but as I worked I discovered a whole bunch of things that I wanted to improve. Things like how I draw speech bubbles, or why my ding dang colours always go so dark and what do I even do with backgrounds? I’m fixing some of them as I go (today’s episode has some improvements already) and others, like backgrounds, will take a little more time. Comics are never ending.

FROM THE DADVICE VAULT - I posted the old Dadvice backgrounds and some assorted art on my blog. These are so dang dark, but at least you can see all the details I put in ‘em that then immediately got covered up in the actual comic.

BALDUR’S GATE TABLETOP - Does anyone want to read about this? We had our last session for a little bit this previous Sunday and let me tell you, I got real sad that we won’t be hanging out for at least a month. I did get to debut a whole bunch of new maps so that was fun.

Plans for August

Dadvice - I will try to get two comics in the bank each week. I do not know if this is possible, but we will find out. I’m sort of nearing the end of my script buffer so I gotta sit down and answer some actual questions again. Y’all are giving me a work out with some of these!

NSFW COMICS - I know, I know, I’m not supposed to talk about butts on here but Hávamál chapter 9 (!!!) is starting up on Filthy Figments on August 12 and it’s going to be beautiful.

Other… things??? - I am cautiously dipping my toes in other projects. I have no social obligations for all of August so I’m drowning my sorrows in work and house cleaning and maybe going outside once in a while.
