It Happened in September

DADVICE GOING WEEKLY BIWEEKLY AGAIN - Okay. Yes. Right. I managed weekly updates for like two months and then ran straight into a wall of 30+ panel comics. I’ve talked about this before. I hate that I had to back down so quickly but hey, the quality of the comics is already more to my liking and I don’t work 14 hour days anymore so this was the right call. Weekly updates are coming back when I’m good and ready.

WEBSITE REDESIGN - I kind of soft-launched this last month but I can now say with some confidence that the WEBSITE REDESIGN IS COMPLETE. I still need to fill it with stuff, but the skeleton of it is looking good. Sometime soon I’ll do a newsletter redesign to match.

Newsletter Adult Zone - I’ve thought about it and although I’m sure most of you came over from Dadvice, I can also not in good conscience just never talk about the ~18+~ stuff I do for a day job. From now on, those news items will be in the ADULT ZONE - if you want to hear about butt news, read on. If not, skip ahead.

Rowan after dark - I’ve made a separate 18+ Bluesky account where I’ll be posting all my sexy news, drawings and other things. If you’re on Bluesky and you’re over 18 and want to see me draw a butt, give me a follow!

Artfyunk - I don’t know how stingy beehiiv is about consenting adults looking at drawings of cartoon characters having a good time so I’m being real careful here, but one of the reasons why I made a saucy alt account is because I joined an art challenge! It lasts until sometime in November, I got a whole lotta good attacks lined up (Go Team Sweet!) and it’s just good fun.

FilthyFigments Spooky Bundle - My dayjob is putting up a Spooky Fundraiser Bundle for Halloween over on itch! I think it’s launching on Friday - keep an eye out!

Kinktober - Boy, sure is a lot of adult style news this month. It’ll calm down soon, I promise. Anyway, my dayjob Filthy Figments are hosting a kinktober drawing challenge, and I will somehow join it during October. Again, saucy Bluesky alt.

Plans for October

Sauce - See above Adult Zone for all the sauce I’m drawing in the next two months. It’s been nice to carve out some time for illustrations, I don’t really get the time to do it.

Dadvice - This will be on the docket for the next three or four years at least. The pace right now feels more manageable, and maybe this time for real real I can work up a buffer. I’m also planning a little… interlude for the Holidays but I’m not 100% set on what that’ll be yet. A treat for you, and a rest for me.

Newsletter redesign - I want to make some graphics that better fit in with the website aesthetic now that I’ve figured out what that’s supposed to look like. I’m also thinking about what all I should use this for — what do you want to read? Is once a month plenty of news, or do you want it more often? Should I post a little update whenever I got something new up, and then a big round-up at the end of the month? Let me know what you think!

Fill up the website - I have ten years of comics to upload, and even more to make. For now, keep an eye on the COMIC ARCHIVE as that’s where I’ll put most of my efforts.

I am pretty sure I haven’t recommended THE ARK yet, and if I have they need to be recommended again. And again. And again. If you want more Swedish queer glam rock in your life, look no further. These guys changed my life when I was 15. I have their song lyrics tattooed on my arm. “It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane” was their big break-out hit but “One of Us is Gonna Die Young” is maybe my favourite. Enjoy.
